{"id":786,"date":"2013-12-24T10:19:51","date_gmt":"2013-12-24T15:19:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/digitalmediaphile.com\/?p=786"},"modified":"2013-12-26T09:16:19","modified_gmt":"2013-12-26T14:16:19","slug":"fitbit-devices-now-sync-with-windows-8-1-store-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/digitalmediaphile.com\/index.php\/2013\/12\/24\/fitbit-devices-now-sync-with-windows-8-1-store-app\/","title":{"rendered":"Fitbit Devices Now Sync with Windows 8.1 Store App"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#160;<\/p>\n<p>Wow, just got a Windows Store Update for my Fitbit App. I figured it was XMAS and just maybe\u2026 (syncing with my favorite fitness tracker was one of the three big missing features on my Windows 8.x list, the others being a real Sonos controller and Quicken Mobile \u2013 which would be like Mint but sync with desktop Quicken \u2013 which may be coming, now that the Mint app has launched)<\/p>\n<p>So I plugged the tiny Fitbit wireless sync dongle into first my Surface Pro, then my Surface 2, and finally into my new Nokia Lumia 2520 (using a USB to Go Host adapter) and the results were:<\/p>\n<p>&#160;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"fitbit1\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 10px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"fitbit1\" src=\"https:\/\/digitalmediaphile.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/fitbit1.png\" width=\"524\" height=\"560\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#160;<\/p>\n<p>And yes, it can run in the background and sync automatically just as my iPhone does.
