If you’ve been directed to: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928233/en-us to solve a connectivity issue and need to determine which GUID is involved, follow these instructions:

1. open an elevated cmd prompt

  • start
  • programs
  • accessories
  • right click command prompt, select Run as Administrator and acknowledge the prompt

2. then, type in:

net config rdr [enter]

the first set is the GUID for the second which is the MAC address of the NIC
